While Oxford candidates are still required to submit a separate Oxford Application Form in addition to their UCAS form, Cambridge rules have changed. UK and EU applicants for courses starting in 2009 only need to submit a UCAS application naming Cambridge as one of their choices.
Acknowledging that students increasingly shun modern languages at school, Cambridge has also changed one of its admission requirements. In future, it will no longer ask all candidates for a foreign language GCSE.
