interview prep:
· Find out about the CHALLENGES currently faced by
experts working in your chosen field. You can do this through news stories, expert associations like the Royal Society or specialist journals like New Scientist.
· Get used to giving more detailed verbal answers
to scientific questions than you do at school. This can mean stating which CALCULATION,
experiment or line of thought got you there.
· Practise some SPECULATIVE THINKING: What if
Elizabeth I had died young? What if you could prevent a crime by torturing a
