WRITING PREP FOR OXBRIDGE ENTRANCE

As subject-related facts at last start gelling in your head, it is time to focus on your writing. Chances are, you will be asked to answer one or more interview questions on paper, especially at Cambridge. So, here is what you need to do now:

·     Practise writing a coherent, one-page essay, or a  half-page answer to a sample question – by hand, not on your laptop.

·     Eliminate any trace of text speak from your writing: stick to full-length words and use capital letters where appropriate.

·     Be brief, but not too narrow here. Your interviewers may well be interested in more than the bare facts. For more detailed advice, read the section on “Giving the right answers” in OXBRIDGE ENTRANCE: THE REAL RULES.
